Weekend Picks
I know I said I'm not a betting man, but I thought I would provide a service to those that read this who are.
Colts (+4) over Ravens
Saints (-5) over Eagles
Seahawks (+8.5) over Bears
Patriots (+5) over Chargers
I'm really looking forward to all these games this weekend. Especially now that I can watch them in glorious high definition. I bought an HD antenna a couple weeks ago with some Christmas money just for the playoffs and the Super Bowl, among other things (at least to get the okay from Mercedes). I can't watch sports in anything else anymore.

Local channels aren't in HD on DirecTV?
There's one reason I'm glad to have cable instead (maybe the only one).
I'd have a hard time watching "The Office" and "How I Met Your Mother" in SD now.

Hey Mayer, ZJ here. I think the Colts get pounded by the Ravens and don't cover. Likewise, Seattle will lose by double digits. The Pats/Chargers game is frustrating to cap, but I agree with your Pats pick. And New Orleans will absolutely destroy Philly, unless Brees puckers and the eagles D scores or sets up several (3+) short fields. When is the "Top albums of 2006" coming out? Band of Horses better make that list.
DirecTV does have local channels in HD, but it requires the new dish. We have the old one and it would cost $300 to upgrade (because I would need the new HD DVR). New subscribers obviously do get local channels in HD.
Great to hear from you ZJ. I am currently working on the top albums and Band of Horses will be on there somewhere. Should have listened to me about the Colts - that was my lock of the weekend.
